‘Brave Blood’ has now opened their brand new studio in the centre of Morningside Edinburgh in 2019! We offer you personal training at a boutique studio gym which has a squat rack, free weights, kettlebells, resistance bands and cardio equipment. The studio is perfect for 1-1 and duo PT sessions and allows for quality coaching in a positive space in the heart of Edinburgh. Whether you want 1-1 personal training, small group PT sessions or fitness coaching for a sports team we are able to offer a range of services.
At Brave Blood we also offer sport specific training and conditioning to get athletes ready and prepped for the coming season.
Head Coach
Head Coach Ali Moran is a level 2 Fitness Instructor and a Level 3 advanced Personal Trainer, with a BA Honours degree in Sport Development and Coaching from Northumbria University. Passionate about getting people moving, Ali has a Kinetic Chain Release Level 1 certificate and is a UKCP Level 2 Alpine Ski Coach & BASI Ski Instructor. Qualified fully in First Aid training, our Head Coach is here to make fitness achievable and enjoyable.
Coach Ali Moran has been involved in a range of sports from a very young age including ski racing, tennis, athletics and hockey and has competed at a high level as an athlete. Lottery funded from the age of 8 years old by the LTA Ali was a keen tennis player playing in tournaments all over the UK. Ali was also a member of the British children’s ski team and the Scottish national ski team, and has spent a majority of her winters training abroad in the Alps as an athlete.
Ali has always been very passionate and determined when it comes to sport and exercise which has lead her to pursue a career in sports coaching. Highly qualified and experienced, Ali has a BA honors degree in Sport Development and coaching and has up to ten years experience in coaching athletes.
Since finishing her career as an athlete Ali has wanted to help others to achieve their goals and help them on their individual journeys. Ali has experienced many different coaching methods over the years and is able to incorporate that experience into her training. ‘As a personal trainer and a coach it is my responsibility to help empower you to make a positive change and step forward on you individual journey’.
Ali has worked as an alpine performance ski coach now for 10 years and has worked with teams all over Europe and in Australia. Ali has coached for the Royal Signals ski team, the Royal Navy ski team and ladies Army team, the combined services team, CDC performance and the Scottish national ski team. Ali has worked hard to form a respected position as a performance coach in British ski racing and wants to share her knowledge and experience with others.
Ali is a fully qualified personal trainer and ski coach. As an athlete, coach and personal trainer Ali is able to individualise to clients and offer tailored and effective programmes. Ali is available to offer nutritional advice and lifestyle coaching as part of her personal training services to help clients achieve the best results. Ali knows that is takes hard work to achieve your goals and dreams and that nothing worth having ever comes easy! It takes commitment and will power but it also takes guidance and good coaching.
